Biomechanics

Understanding the biomechanical risk factors for knee injuries in community Australian football players is a vital step in the injury prevention process. These investigations utilised laboratory based analysis of  planned and unplanned side stepping to better understand the mechanisms of knee injuries. Additionally further analysis was conducted after players participated in the program to determine how knee joint biomechanics during side stepping tasks was influenced by the training. This page provides you with a link to the journal the research was published in and plain language summary of the investigation and results.
